TSoM Student Places First in Canada in ACCA Examination

Toronto School of Management (TSoM) is delighted to announce that Charlotte Bekaert, one of our Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) students, has placed first in all of Canada in her December 2021 examination.

Ms. Bekaert, who is from Belgium, achieved the highest score in the country on her Performance Management (PM) paper.

The TSoM student believes that the key to her success in the ACCA exams was consistency and planning. She advises fellow students “to be consistent in attending classes, asking questions, practicing exam questions and studying the key concepts.” Ms. Bekaert also encourages the creation of realistic study plans and taking into account study-work-life balance. “I always make sure that I set realistic weekly goals without burning myself out, as well as building some buffers into my planning for unexpected events.”

Ms. Bekaert maintains that she is thankful for her TSoM instructor, Mr. Khalil Hasmat, for teaching the key concepts and providing comprehensive guidance on the ACCA exams. “TSoM has excellent teachers and tools to help their students succeed.”

For his part, Mr. Hasmat acknowledges Charlotte’s own hard work.  “At TSoM, we try our best to help students reach their maximum potential through conceptual teaching and motivation. I believe that Charlotte’s exceptional achievement is a result of her consistent hard work, as well as her eagerness to learn. I wish her the best in all her future endeavors!”

Mahmood Khan, Academic Manager of ACCA at TSoM, echoed Mr. Hasmat’s congratulations, “I am very excited to see Charlotte’s achievement and congratulate her and her instructor on this wonderful success. I am happy that our students are getting the benefits of all the resources TSoM provides to them. I wish all the best to Charlotte, and all our other students as well.”
