We are very proud and excited to announce that our Interinstitutional 2024 Cybersecurity Capture the Flag (CTF) Competition will be held at the SiberX CISO Forum Canada on February 12th!
The SiberX CISO Forum brings top-level speakers, attendees, and sponsors from all over the world together to discuss the ever-changing field of executive information security management. Topics focus on leadership, strategic management, innovation, and cutting-edge solutions to the challenges of leading information security programs. It is open to director-level and above security leaders only, so we are very excited to be able to inspire and give competitors access to this exclusive event where they will have the opportunity to showcase their skills to this talented pool of top-level cybersecurity leaders!
This CTF, just like our first edition, is going to be in-person and open to teams from other colleges or institutions. We had an amazing team recruitment phase, quickly filling out the available spots with teams from institutions such as Niagara College – Toronto, Trebas Institute Toronto, Computek College, Skills for Change, and YES Employment Services.
For TSoM, eight talented students from our Diploma in Cybersecurity Specialist Co-op program, who made the cut through preliminary hackathon competitions, will proudly represent our campus. The first half will come from the TSoM Eagles, the team that took first place in our inaugural CTF last year, while the other half will come from the talented TSoM Shields.
